MCARES, INC. Programs - Operation S.E.E.D.

Operation S.E.E.D. - "Is Planting seeds of hope & care to help our children & youth's future to be brighter"

Operation S.E.E.D. has three components:

I. Operation SEED In- School Seminars
II. Operation SEED Mentorship
III. Operation SEED Live Performances


I. Operation SEED In-School Seminars: Is a school based program that reaches through city schools and community organizations, providing classroom seminars using arts, and recreation and key life principles. Designed to motivate, inspire, teach goal setting, anger management, conflict resolution, improve self-esteem, personal development.

II. Operation SEED Mentorship: Works in conjunction with the seminar and provides a four session contact, over eight weeks.(Every other week). Part of the mentorship component is to also develop peer mentors.

III. Operation SEED Live Performances: Live performance are presented to large groups at the conclusion of the program.

Ages 11-16yrs. 5th - 10th grades
High & Low Self-Esteem
Highly Structed Classrooms/ BD
Gifted
and Mentally or Behaviorally Challenged



Presentation Tools:

Multi-Cultural Music - w/ Trumpet/ Rhymes/ Keyboard

Recreational Expression - w/ Skateborading/ Uni-Cycling

Creative Expression - Song Writing / Poetry

Key Life Principle & Skills - Annger Management/ Self-Esteem Building/ Focus Techniques/ Personal Development/ Career & Life Goal Setting

About the Founder & CEO/ Mentor & Life Coach: J.W. Rhodes

J.W. Rhodes has a B.A. in Psychology with a minor in music from Kentucky State University. He has worked in the mental health profession for over 15 years with children, youth and adults with Mental Illnesses & Behavior Disabilities. Has served as a clinician with children for over ten years.

He grew up on the south side of Chicago, Ill. Now residing in Lexington, Ky. He is wonderfully married and has four beautiful children.
